Data Scientist - Solution Design & Commercial Finance Analytics

As a Data Scientist at Eaton, you will join the Commercial Finance Analytics team in Pune, India. Your role as an individual contributor will involve supporting the design and implementation of analytical solutions for Eaton businesses through Commercial Finance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help define, manage, and optimize data assets in a scalable and sustainable manner. Your focus will be on developing tools, dashboards, and analytics to provide actionable, data-driven insights into business operations. Key Responsibilities: - Support analytical projects: Assist in defining problems, exploring data, and developing models aligned with business goals for growth and efficiency. - Contribute to data platform development: Assist in building and maintaining systems to collect, process, and visualize data from various sources for analysis. - Apply analytical techniques: Utilize statistical methods and basic machine learning to identify trends and translate data into meaningful insights. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Understand business processes and design data solutions that fit operational needs. - Provide ongoing analytical support: Deliver historical and trend-based insights for informed decision-making. - Identify opportunities for analytics: Participate in identifying use cases where data science can add value and support capability development. - Data modeling and process improvement: Design data models to improve workflows, reduce risk, and support strategic initiatives. Qualifications: - Minimum bachelor's degree in mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. - 3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry exposure preferred. Skills Required: - Microsoft Power BI and Data science experience are mandatory. - SQL language query is mandatory. - Data Engineering: Extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources to a single repository is mandatory. - Strong analytical skills, with prior experience in big data analytics projects preferred. - Strong business acumen in the candidate's respective industry. - Ability to multi-task, be proactive, and independent in a dynamic environment. - Highly motivated individuals with excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strategic and critical approach towards problem-solving and decision-making. - Results-oriented with a proven ability to prioritize, drive, and achieve results.,
