Data Migration

As a Data Migration Architect at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing the overall data architecture for all areas and domains of the enterprise. Your responsibilities will include working closely with the Senior Data Lead/Architect to develop the Migration Framework/scripts and oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics to ensure data quality. Key Responsibilities: - Gather and analyze business data requirements and model these needs - Set standards for data management and analyze the current state to conceive desired future state - Provide guidance on technical specifications, data modeling, and review proposed data marts and data models - Develop ETL processes for data migration, including reading data from the source and loading it to the destination - Cleanse data and write transformation logic for data transformation - Develop error handling strategies and a rollback mechanism for activities - Assist in QA and UAT activities - Liaise with the Change management teams as required Qualifications Required: - More than 8 years of experience with data architecture, large-scale data modeling, database design, and business requirements analysis - Expert level understanding of relational database concepts, dimensional database concepts, and database architecture and design - Experience with CA Erwin for developing Enterprise Data Models - Strong understanding of best practices in data modeling techniques, including normalization and dimensional modeling - Experience and Knowledge of Talend Data Integration Platform At Virtusa, we value teamwork, quality of life, professional and personal development.
