You have more than 8 years of experience in data architecture, large-scale data modelling, database design, and business requirements analysis. You are a Data Migration expert and must work alongside the Senior Data Lead/Architect to develop the Migration Framework/scripts. Your responsibilities include overseeing the overall data architecture for all areas and domains of the enterprise, such as data acquisition, ODS, data warehouse, data provisioning, and ETL. You gather and analyze business data requirements and model these needs. You possess an expert-level understanding of relational database concepts, dimensional database concepts, database architecture and design, ontology, and taxonomy design. Experience with using CA Erwin to develop Enterprise Data Models is essential. As a Data Migration Architect, you set standards for data management, analyze the current state, conceive the desired future state, and identify projects needed to bridge the gap between the current state and future goals. You have a strong understanding of best practices in data modelling techniques, including in-depth knowledge of various normalization, dimensional modelling, and their appropriate usage in various solutions. Providing guidance on technical specifications, data modelling, and reviewing proposed data marts, data models, and other dimensional uses of data within the Data Warehouse are part of your responsibilities. You oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics to ensure data quality. Experience and knowledge of the Talend Data Integration Platform are required. You analyze the account structure, contact, pricing, and other related objects to ensure the required data is moved from source systems (Innovative or cForce) to iQuest. Mapping data attributes and creating mapping documents as required are part of your role. You create/write ETL (Extract Transform Load) to read data from the source and load data to the destination for Data Migration. Cleansing (de-dup, etc.) and writing transformation logic for data transformation are essential tasks. Developing an error handling strategy to manage exceptions/missing values, incorporating them into the scripts, and creating a rollback mechanism for rinse-and-repeat activities are part of your responsibilities.
