Data Migration

As a Data Migration Architect with more than 8 years of experience in data architecture, large-scale data modelling, database design, and business requirements analysis, you will play a crucial role in developing the Migration Framework and scripts in collaboration with the Senior Data Lead/Architect. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the overall data architecture for various domains of the enterprise such as data acquisition, ODS, data warehouse, data provisioning, and ETL processes. You will be required to gather and analyze business data requirements, model these needs, and set standards for data management while analyzing the current state and conceiving the desired future state. Your expertise in relational and dimensional database concepts, database architecture, ontology, and taxonomy design will be essential in guiding technical specifications, data modeling, and reviewing proposed data marts and models within the Data Warehouse. Experience in using tools like CA Erwin for developing Enterprise Data Models and Talend Data Integration Platform will be beneficial for this role. You will be responsible for mapping data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics to ensure data quality, as well as creating ETL processes for data migration, including cleansing, transformation logic, error handling strategies, and rollback mechanisms. Collaboration with QA, UAT activities, and Change management teams will be part of your responsibilities.
