Data Governance Consultant

• Extensive knowledge of data governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing data policies, standards, and procedures.
• Strong background in data quality management, including issue identification, resolution strategies, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and understanding compliance requirements related to data management in financial services (preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated leadership in data governance, successfully driving adoption of governance programs across the company.
• Prior experience in data catalog implementation and management (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in root cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Relevant certifications in data management or governance (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, with hands-on experience in data lineage tracking and ETL processes.
• Experience with AI-driven data governance tools for automation and anomaly detection
• Ability to work with ETL tools, data governance platforms, and data visualization software to enhance reporting and decision-making.
