Description
As a highly skilled Data Architect & ETL Engineer, you play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable data architectures and ETL pipelines to enable high-quality business intelligence and analytics solutions. Your responsibilities include: - Designing and implementing scalable data architectures to support analytics, data integration, and reporting. - Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using Pentaho or other ETL transformation tools. - Collaborating with business analysts, data scientists, and application teams to ensure efficient data flow. - Optimizing SQL queries and building efficient data models for reporting and data warehousing, such as star/snowflake schema. - Implementing data governance, quality control, and security measures. - Developing interactive reports and dashboards using Tableau, QuickSight, or Power BI. - Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines to ensure high availability and reliability. - Documenting data flows, ETL processes, and architectural designs. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data architecture. - Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle). - Hands-on experience with Pentaho or similar ETL transformation tools. - Experience with Tableau, QuickSight, or Power BI for data visualization and reporting. - Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and BI best practices. - Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data security. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred skills include: - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-based data services. - Experience in Python or Java for data transformation and automation. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
