Data Centre Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Engineer / Operator to manage and support day-to-day operations of our data center facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring systems, ensuring uptime, performing routine maintenance, and responding to incidents with a focus on high availability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor data center infrastructure including servers, storage systems, power, cooling, and network devices.
• Perform system health checks, incident response, troubleshooting, and escalation procedures.
• Maintain records of data center equipment, environmental conditions, and inventory.
• Install, configure, and decommission hardware (servers, cables, racks, etc.).
• Ensure data center security, access control, and compliance with safety protocols.
• Perform backup operations, software patching, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with IT and networking teams to support project deployments.
• Provide support for remote hands activities as required by clients or internal teams.
• Respond to service tickets, perform diagnostics, and maintain uptime SLA requirements.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, IT, Computer Science, or related field).

Experience:

• 0–3 years of experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure, or related fields. Freshers with relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of server hardware, networking concepts, and power systems (UPS, HVAC).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and procedures.
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

• CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or any relevant data center or network certification.

Working Conditions:

• Rotational shift work (including nights, weekends, and holidays).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
