Data Centre Engineer

As an experienced Server Administrator, you will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, issue resolution, implementation, and optimization of server infrastructure. Your primary duties will include continuously monitoring server performance, performing routine maintenance and updates, and troubleshooting server-related issues. You will be expected to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex server problems, collaborating with other IT teams when necessary. Documenting issues, resolutions, and network changes will be essential for future reference and knowledge sharing. In collaboration with other engineers, you will implement new server infrastructure and configurations while optimizing server performance and resource utilization to enhance efficiency. Security measures must be implemented and maintained to protect the server infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security policies and industry best practices. Maintaining accurate documentation of server configurations and procedures is crucial, as well as collaborating with other IT teams for seamless system integration. Providing technical support to other team members and end-users regarding server-related issues and participating in on-call rotations for after-hours support are also part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of server operating systems, cloud platforms, server hardware, and networking concepts. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, are essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with familiarity with network security best practices and security vulnerability scanning, will contribute to your success in this position.,
