Data Center Engineer

We are seeking a Data Centre Professional certified by the Uptime Institute to lead and deliver a comprehensive Data Centre Extension Study. The consultant will assess the current data center infrastructure, evaluate extension feasibility, and provide strategic recommendations aligned with Uptime Tier Standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive technical assessment of the existing data center environment, including space, power, cooling, and network systems.

Evaluate the feasibility of extending or upgrading the facility based on current and future capacity needs.

Identify potential risks, gaps, and Tier compliance issues in the existing infrastructure.

Deliver a Data Centre Extension Study Report with clear recommendations for design enhancements, scalability, and compliance with Uptime Tier Standards (IIV).

Collaborate with facility managers, IT infrastructure teams, and third-party contractors during the assessment phase.

Ensure that proposed solutions maintain or enhance reliability, availability, and operational sustainability.

Provide input on energy efficiency, fault tolerance, and redundancy planning.

Required Qualifications:
Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) or Uptime Institute Accreditation (e.g., Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) or Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS)).

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in data center design, operations, or consulting.

Strong understanding of:

Uptime Tier I–IV Standards

Critical infrastructure (HVAC, UPS, fire suppression, access control)

Capacity planning and modular growth

Experience with data center audits, extension feasibility studies, or facility lifecycle planning.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in electrical, mechanical, or facilities engineering

Familiarity with Green Data Centre principles and energy optimization

Knowledge of regional data center compliance and safety standards
