Data Backup Engineer

As a Data Backup Engineer at AMSYS Group, your role involves implementing and maintaining data backup systems to ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data. You will manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data backup software and hardware. Collaborating with other IT teams, you will troubleshoot technical problems and contribute to disaster recovery plans development. Key Responsibilities: - Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of data backup software and hardware. - Monitor and oversee daily backup operations for data integrity and security. - Respond to and resolve basic backup-related issues and inquiries. - Perform routine tests and audits of backup systems to identify errors or inefficiencies. - Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and security. - Document and maintain accurate records of backup procedures and processes. - Assist in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans. - Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data backup and recovery. - Participate in designing and implementing data backup strategies for new projects. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (master's degree preferred). - Minimum 2 years of proven work experience as a Data Backup Engineer or similar role. - Proficiency in backup technologies like cloud-based solutions. - Strong understanding of disaster recovery principles and methodologies. - Proficiency in backup software and tools (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik, N-able, Unitrends, Veritas etc.) Rubrik preferred. - Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, Linux, MacOS. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Relevant certifications in Backup technologies, MCSE (server-related knowledge). - Knowledge of NAS devices and File servers (DFS).,
