Data Analyst cum Business Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Gather and extract data from primary and secondary sources such as databases, surveys, API's and relevant platforms.
• Clean, pre-process, and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Perform in-depth statistical data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in datasets.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Present insights in a clear and meaningful way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (management, marketing, sales, operations) to understand data needs, define KPIs, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Assist in building and implementing data collection systems and analytics strategies that improve efficiency and data quality.
• Support data governance efforts by ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and techniques in data analytics and suggest improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar analytical role.
• Strong skills in requirement gathering, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Good understanding of statistical analysis and hands-on experience with tools like Excel, SPSS, SAS, Python, or R.
• Skilled in creating dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to translate complex findings into simple insights.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with data cleaning, data quality assurance, and data modeling techniques.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Good to have:

• Master’s degree in Data Science/Business Analytics or related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Understanding of machine learning concepts.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
