SQL Developer 2020 ERP (Backend & Automation Specialist) EU/US Time

Experience Level: 36 Years

• Design, develop, and optimize queries, views, stored procedures, and triggers to support ERP workflows.
• Perform data uploads, cleanup, and transformation for ERP modules (procurement, inventory, MES, shipping, invoicing).
• Monitor and maintain SQL Server performance, indexing, and health checks.
• Schedule and validate database backups and recovery processes.

2. Reporting & Dashboards

• Build custom reports and dashboards to support Finance, Operations, and Manufacturing teams.
• Automate recurring reports for forecasting, costing, and production KPIs.
• Collaborate with business users to design self-service reporting datasets.

3. Automation & Scripting

• Develop Python scripts to automate repetitive database tasks (data validation, cleanup, report generation).
• Integrate Python with SQL Server for ETL pipelines and data quality checks.
• Support ERP batch jobs and file-based integrations with external systems.

4. ERP Data Management & Integration Support

• Maintain backend tables and data flows for 2020 Insight.
• Support ERP integration data pipelines with Salesforce, S2K, Avalara, Reconnex, and Yooz.
• Troubleshoot backend issues (order updates, shipments, invoicing, and financial postings).

5. Knowledge Capture & Documentation

• Document SQL structures, stored procedures, and automation scripts.
• Build a knowledge base of ERP backend workflows to enable internal ownership.
• Train IT and business users on SQL-driven reports and dashboards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong SQL Server skills (queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, indexing).
• Database administration (performance tuning, backups, monitoring).
• Python for automation, ETL, and reporting tasks.
• Experience building reports/dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.

ERP Knowledge:

• Understanding of ERP modules (procurement, inventory, MES, shipping, finance).
• Ability to translate business requirements into backend logic and reports.

Soft Skills:

• Analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Collaboration with IT, Finance, and Operations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 2020 Insight/Construct ERP backend.
• Exposure to Salesforce or ERP data models.
