Data Analyst, Automation & Analysis

Role Overview: As a Data Analyst, Automation & Analysis at Springer Nature Group, you will contribute to data and reporting activities supporting BAU processes and strategic initiatives. Your role will involve building dashboards, delivering advanced analytics, ensuring data quality, and managing a portfolio of journals in a production-ready manner. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Looker and Google BigQuery. - Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. - Contribute to the development and documentation of data standards and best practices. - Recommend and implement KPIs, data definitions, and reporting frameworks. - Gather system requirements, set up, and maintain peer review systems for journals. - Conduct presentations and training sessions for stakeholders. - Ensure quality of article-level activities and maintain relationships with stakeholders. - Be an advocate for continuous improvement, quality, and efficiency within the team. Qualifications Required: - Experience working with large datasets for insights and decision-making. - Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in Looker, Google BigQuery, and other BI tools. - Previous experience in publishing or support roles. - Strong analytical and numeracy skills with attention to detail. - Knowledge of SQL, Python, and programming languages. - Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills. - Proactive with strong problem-solving abilities. - Degree or equivalent work experience required. - Additional training or certification in data analysis or business intelligence is desirable.,
