Customs Specialist

Role Overview: You are applying for the role of Post-CHA Executive Import Documentation in Navi Mumbai. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing detailed checklists for Import and Export shipments, managing Import Documentation for filing on ICEGATE portal, verifying documents for customs clearance, coordinating with Shipping Lines, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, maintaining records of all shipments, and resolving documentation-related issues. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed checklists for Import and Export shipments. - Handle Import Documentation for filing on ICEGATE portal. - Manage and verify documents for customs clearance including: - Bill of Entry - Invoice & Packing List - HSN codes and duty structure - Shipping instructions - Delivery Orders - Bonds and Guarantees - Ensure timely and accurate submission of all documentation required by Customs Authorities. - Coordinate with Shipping Lines for obtaining Delivery Orders and other necessary paperwork. - Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to import/export activities. - Maintain up-to-date records of all shipments and filing activities. - Liaise with internal departments and clients to provide updates and resolve issues related to documentation and clearance. - Stay informed about any updates in ICEGATE procedures or customs regulations. Qualification Required: - Proven experience in Import Documentation and Custom Clearance Procedures. - Proficiency in operating ICEGATE portal. - Sound knowledge of Shipping Line documentation, DO (Delivery Order) process, and Bonds. - Familiarity with Export documentation will be an added advantage. - Good coordination and communication skills. - Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
