UPS Service Engineer – Job Description

Position: UPS Service Engineer
Work Type: Field Work / On-site Service
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Electronics, Electrical, or related field

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and service UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues, perform troubleshooting, and ensure timely resolution of UPS faults.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution units.
• Test system performance, monitor load management, and ensure optimum power backup operation.
• Maintain service logs, documentation, and prepare reports after site visits.
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to clients.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during installation and servicing.
• Be ready to travel frequently to client sites for service requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of UPS systems, batteries, and power electronics.
• Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams and technical manuals.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in field conditions.
• Strong communication and customer handling skills.

Experience:

• Freshers with ITI/Diploma in Electronics/Electrical may apply.
• Experienced candidates in UPS service/maintenance preferred.
