Job Description

Role Overview: As a highly self-motivated and customer-focused engineer at Schneider Electric, you will be responsible for working on the design, documentation, and execution of automation projects for customers in the Energies business segments in the APAC region. Your primary focus will be on substation automation solutions using Schneider System or equivalent technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Specify, design, and validate substation automation systems, including customer meetings and approvals on design submissions. - Demonstrate knowledge of the power system value chain and substation switchgear components, along with their international codes. - Proficient in communication protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850, etc. - Deep understanding of Load Shedding and Generator management System. - Familiarity with Bay Control Unit, Protection IED, RTU & PLC-based products. - Expertise in communication network design, configuration & commissioning, including standards like RSTP, PRP, HSR, Dual-Homing, etc. - Hands-on experience with EPAS / EPO Engineering Tool Suite. - Ability to understand customer technical specifications and prepare functional design specifications. - Experience in international projects execution, English communication skills, and knowledge of additional languages. - Perform Engineering, validation & Commissioning activities for short- and long-term deputation. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Science, or Instrumentation Engineering. - 4-8 years of experience in energy automation project execution, team leadership, and customer management. - Strong knowledge and understanding of the industry. - Versatile customer experience is a plus. - Excellent soft skills and communication abilities. - Self-motivated and proactive.
