OPD Billing
Generate bills for OPD consultations, scans, lab tests, and procedures.
Ensure accurate entry of services, consultant fees, and discounts in the billing system.
Guide patients through payment options (cash, card, UPI, insurance, etc.).
Maintain daily reconciliation of OPD cash collections with finance.
Assist with appointment bookings and rescheduling when linked to billing.
IP Billing :
Open inpatient accounts at the time of admission with advance collection.
Track interim billing (room charges, procedures, pharmacy, diagnostics).
Coordinate with nursing, OT, pharmacy, and diagnostic teams for charge capture.
Prepare and finalize discharge bills ensuring no pending services.
Handle insurance documentation, TPA coordination, and pre/post-approval processes.
Ensure smooth discharge by providing final bill summary to patients/relatives.
Customer Interaction & Service :
Address billing-related queries with patience, clarity, and accuracy.
Provide patients/attendants with detailed breakups of charges when requested.
Escalate unresolved concerns to Billing Manager/Operations Head.
Maintain professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
Documentation & Compliance :
Adhere to hospital policies, SOPs, and statutory guidelines in billing.
Ensure confidentiality of patient records and financial information.
Maintain error-free documentation for audits and compliance checks.
Support finance team during internal/external audits.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
Good communication skills (English, Hindi, Kannada preferred).
Customer-centric and service-oriented mindset.
Ability to multitask in a high-pressure hospital environment.
Familiarity with hospital billing software (e.g., HIS/ERP).
