Credit Manager-Wholesale Banking

As a Credit Manager in Wholesale Banking, your role involves managing and overseeing the banks lending process to ensure sound credit decisions within the wholesale banking segment. You will be responsible for developing credit scoring models, setting loan terms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain robust credit policies and systems. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular asset quality reviews, provide analytical insights, and recommend appropriate actions to identify risks and opportunities. - Research and evaluate clients creditworthiness through financial analysis, site visits, and stakeholder discussions. - Collaborate with business, legal, compliance, and portfolio analytics teams to assess credit requests and make informed decisions. - Approve or reject loan applications based on risk assessment and potential revenue/loss impact. - Negotiate loan terms with clients in alignment with bank policies and risk appetite. - Review and update credit policies and risk acceptance criteria to reflect changes in regulatory requirements and business strategy. - Partner with credit systems support teams to implement key credit policy criteria in relevant credit acceptance and evaluation systems. Qualification Required: - Graduation in any field, preferably in Finance, Commerce, or Economics. - Post-graduation in MBA/PGDM in Finance or related field is preferred. - Professional Qualification/Certification like Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent is preferred. In addition to your qualifications, the ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in credit risk assessment, with a preference for experience in wholesale banking.,
