Credit Manager-Wholesale Banking

The Credit Manager in Wholesale Banking is responsible for managing and overseeing the bank's lending process within the wholesale banking segment. Your role involves ensuring sound credit decisions by evaluating clients" creditworthiness thoroughly. You will be tasked with developing credit scoring models, setting loan terms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust credit policies and systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular asset quality reviews to provide analytical insights that identify risks and opportunities, and recommending appropriate actions. You will research and evaluate clients" creditworthiness through financial analysis, site visits, and stakeholder discussions. Collaborating with business, legal, compliance, and portfolio analytics teams, you will assess credit requests and make well-informed decisions. As the Credit Manager, you will be responsible for approving or rejecting loan applications based on risk assessment and potential revenue/loss impact. Negotiating loan terms with clients to ensure alignment with bank policies and risk appetite will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will review and update credit policies and risk acceptance criteria to reflect changes in regulatory requirements and business strategy. To qualify for this role, you should have a graduation degree, preferably in Finance, Commerce, or Economics. A post-graduation degree such as an MBA or PGDM in Finance or a related field is preferred. A professional qualification or certification like Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent is also preferred. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in credit risk assessment, preferably in wholesale banking.,
