Credit Manager

A Credit Manager at Kotak Mahindra Bank for Home Loans and LAP is responsible for the end-to-end credit underwriting process, including financial analysis, site visits for SENP/SEP cases, delinquency monitoring, and managing a portfolio to maintain credit quality. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely processing, managing a team, upholding policies, and meeting productivity targets for both Home Loan and Loan Against Property (LAP) products. Key responsibilities

• Credit Underwriting:

  Evaluate and underwrite self-employed and salaried cases by analyzing applicants' financial and business backgrounds, often involving customer visits.

• Portfolio Management:

  Monitor underwritten cases in the initial stages to minimize delinquency and manage overall credit quality.

• Process and Policy:

  Ensure the timely processing of loan applications and adhere to the bank's credit policies and procedures.

• Team Management:

  Mentor and manage a team of Credit Analysts or other junior staff, monitoring their productivity and output quality.

• Productivity and Targets:

  Maintain strong productivity levels and assist the team in achieving business targets.

• Economic Awareness:

  Stay informed about current economic indicators and updates in the mortgage and housing finance industries.

Qualifications

• Education:

  A CA or MBA from a reputable institute is preferred.

• Experience:

  Minimum 2-4 years of experience in mortgage lending, either with a bank or an NBFC, is typically required.
