Description
The Credit Lead position at Vegrow in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India requires a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8-12 years of experience in credit underwriting & policy within Banks/NBFCs. The role involves revolutionizing B2B agribusiness by offering fresh fruit on credit to SME and agritrading partners. As the Credit Lead, you will leverage your credit expertise into a commercial growth role, managing trade credit limits dynamically calibrated by seasons and performance. This is an opportunity to shape real-time, industry-defining credit practices and drive genuine business impact. Your key responsibilities will include evaluating financials, credit bureau data, cash flows, and sector-specific risks for end-to-end underwriting, designing and operationalizing credit frameworks and SOPs for unsecured agritrader lending, optimizing exposure levels while driving portfolio expansion and containing NPAs, advising sales & ops teams on risk-aware decision-making, monitoring key performance indicators, and leading risk reviews by traveling (~50%) to assess customer operations and build relationships. We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with 8-12 years of credit underwriting & policy experience, familiarity with agri-trader finance, technical excellence in financial analysis, cash-flow modeling, scorecarding, and limit-setting, proven ability to design, implement, and enforce credit governance and frameworks, strategic thinking skills to align growth and asset quality goals, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and willingness to travel up to 50% for customer and portfolio oversight.
