Credit Head

You will be responsible for managing the credit underwriting and risk management for Loan Against Property (LAP) and Business Loan (BL) products within the assigned zone. This role involves assessing creditworthiness, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory policies, and optimizing the credit decisioning process while balancing risk and business growth. - Evaluate and approve loan applications based on financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit policy guidelines. - Ensure timely processing of loan applications while maintaining high-quality underwriting standards. - Provide credit decisions within delegated authority and escalate cases as per policy. - Monitor portfolio performance, early warning indicators, and risk parameters within the zone. - Implement strategies to maintain a healthy portfolio with low delinquency and minimal NPAs. - Review and refine credit policies and risk frameworks to align with market dynamics. - Ensure all underwriting decisions are in line with regulatory and internal policies. - Coordinate with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance adherence. - Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks. - Lead and mentor a team of credit managers and analysts to enhance their underwriting skills. - Conduct training sessions on credit policies, risk management, and fraud prevention. - Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of credit processes. You should have 8-15 years of experience in credit underwriting and risk management for LAP and Business Loans. Skills & Competencies required include strong analytical and decision-making skills, in-depth knowledge of financial statements, credit risk assessment, and regulatory frameworks, excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
