Job Description

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your crash simulation expertise in a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our transportation systems. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, design, testing), perform simulations of collision scenarios, and propose design corrections for crash devices and supporting structures.

Youll specifically take care of building numerical models and conducting crash simulations, but also calibrating these models and delivering high-quality reports.

Well look to you for:

  • Supporting the definition of the energy absorption distribution and participating in the selection of crash devices to implement
  • Building numerical models of the rolling stock (RS) while ensuring the required level of quality
  • Performing crash simulations of collision scenarios, analyzing results, and proposing design corrections
  • Calibrating numerical models based on test results
  • Writing detailed crash simulation reports
  • Applying internal engineering instructions and methodologies
  • Proposing improvements to crash numerical methodologies
  • Conducting crash simulations of occupants interacting with interior features
  • Delivering crash reports on time and at the required level of quality
  • Reporting results and presenting findings to project stakeholders
  • Managing multiple projects in parallel

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. Thats why we dont expect you to have every single skill. Instead, weve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience or understanding of crash simulations and numerical modeling
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with crashworthiness standards and regulations
  • A certification in crash analysis or FEA tools (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
