The successful candidate will be responsible for operating overhead and gantry cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment within the facility, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Crane Operation : Operate overhead and gantry cranes to transport materials and equipment within the manufacturing facility. Equipment Inspection : Conduct daily inspections of cranes and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Load Management : Determine load weights and ensure compliance with lifting specifications and safety standards. Communication : Coordinate with ground personnel using hand signals or communication devices to ensure safe movement of loads. Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts and replacing worn components, to keep equipment in optimal condition. Record Keeping : Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries. Required Skills and Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Certification : Valid crane operator certification, as required by local regulations. Experience : Minimum of 2 years operating cranes in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Technical Skills : Proficiency in operating overhead and gantry cranes; ability to read and interpret load charts and blueprints. Physical Requirements : Good physical condition, including strength, coordination, and stamina, to handle the demands of the job. Attention to Detail : Strong focus on safety and precision in handling materials. Communication Skills : Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions accurately.
