Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Counselor located in Varanasi. The Counselor will work closely with students, parents, and staff to provide guidance on personal, academic, and career-related matters. Core responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, providing support for emotional well-being, advising on educational pathways, and collaborating with teachers to support student development. Additionally, the role involves conducting workshops, addressing student challenges, and fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Qualifications

• Strong counseling skills, including the ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and needs
• Proficiency in guiding students on academic, personal, and career development
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills
• Organizational abilities to manage multiple cases and confidential student records
• Capability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and external support organizations
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field
• Prior experience in school counseling or a similar role is preferred
• Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity to support students effectively
