Counsel

You will serve as a legal advisor and day-to-day counsel for the global Supply Chain Management (SCM) function, with a focus on claims management. Your role will involve aligning with the strategic vision for the SCM team and the Sustainability and Governance (S&G) team. You will be responsible for reviewing and managing Indian projects related claims, coordinating with legal & Contracts Management, and implementing proactive legal policies to minimize risk and protect the organization. Drafting prime contract flow down requirements into vendor subcontracts, purchase orders, or existing MSAs will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be tasked with drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and approving vendor purchase orders, supply orders, and subcontracts. Providing ongoing legal guidance and project management support throughout the contract lifecycle will be crucial. Collaboration with the S&G team and SCM to proactively identify and implement process and efficiency improvements is expected. You will be responsible for expanding expertise and contracting knowledge within SCM, developing and maintaining consistent standards and work processes for vendor contracting globally, and designing and executing appropriate training in supply chain contracts to SCM and Contracts professionals. Additionally, you will assist Legal Counsel - Indirect Procurement in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various corporate agreements, including IT agreements, non-disclosure agreements, security agreements, talent development agreements, procurement agreements, and office equipment rental and/or purchase agreements. To qualify for this role, you should have a qualification in law, preferably a LLB degree from a reputed Indian university, and possess 5-8 years of broad legal experience in the construction, industrial, or energy industry, focusing on supply chain support and contract drafting and negotiation skills. Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in a business environment, excellent knowledge of contract law, excellent writing, research, and commercial negotiation skills, strong communication and presentation skills, high professional ethics and integrity, and the ability to analyze situations and information are essential. Experience and knowledge with vendor agreements and prime contract flow down drafting are preferred. Being able to work collaboratively with a global and diverse team, along with being a proactive thinker and creative problem solver, will be beneficial in this role.,
