As a Senior Cost Management Engineer, your role will involve delivering robust cost estimates for complex, highly engineered vehicle components and systems throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, and key suppliers to facilitate data-driven design and sourcing decisions that enhance cost efficiency, value, and manufacturability. Key Responsibilities: - Develop accurate cost estimates for intricate vehicle components and systems - Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and suppliers to drive data-based design and sourcing decisions - Improve cost efficiency, value, and manufacturability of products - Utilize Computer Aided Cost Estimation (CACE) tools and structured cost modeling - Leverage global market and supply chain expertise - Apply manufacturing experience in fabrication, machining, or automotive sectors - Utilize True Value Hub software (preferred) Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field - 5+ years of experience in engineering, cost estimation, or value analysis in manufacturing - Proficiency in CACE tools and structured cost modeling - Global market and supply chain experience - Hands-on mechanical aptitude in fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, etc. - Knowledge of supply chain, strategic sourcing, or supplier management - Understanding of cost accounting concepts - Familiarity with manufacturing routings, process flows, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) - Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T - Strong communication skills for influencing cross-functional teams and suppliers - Experience with cost analysis platforms and Microsoft Office tools - Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and web-based collaboration tools If you meet the qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your most impactful cost reduction or design-to-cost project to Deekshan@excelgens.com.
