Role Objective:

To monitor, analyze, and optimize manufacturing costs at the plant level by identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring effective utilization of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Monitoring & Control:

• Track daily, weekly, and monthly

  production cost data

  (raw material, utilities, manpower, maintenance, etc.).
• Conduct detailed

  cost variance analysis

  against standards and report deviations to management.
• Implement

  cost control measures

  in coordination with production and maintenance teams.

2. Process & Resource Optimization:

• Study process efficiency and suggest improvements to

  reduce wastage, energy, and utility consumption

  .
• Assist in developing

  cost optimization projects

  across production, logistics, and procurement.
• Support management in evaluating

  make-or-buy and process improvement decisions

  .

3. Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Prepare

  annual and monthly factory budgets

  with department heads.
• Track and report

  budget vs. actual performance

  .
• Recommend

  cost-saving targets

  and monitor implementation.

4. Inventory & Material Management:

• Ensure accurate valuation and control of

  raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

  .
• Analyze material usage efficiency and suggest improvements.
  
• Support

  physical stock verification and reconciliation

  .

5. Reporting & Analysis:

• Generate

  daily / monthly cost MIS

  , cost center reports, and variance summaries.
• Present actionable insights for

  cost reduction and productivity improvement

  .
• Support in

  cost audits and internal audits

  .

Key Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of

  manufacturing costing systems

  and process flow.
• Proficiency in

  Excel and ERP or accounting software

  .
• Analytical mindset with a focus on

  cost optimization and savings

  .
• Good communication and coordination skills with plant departments.
