Job Description

develops and executes sales plans, manages a sales team, fosters relationships with clients like contractors and architects, and analyzes market trends to drive revenue growth

  • Sales Strategy & Planning:

    Create and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth goals.
  • Team Leadership:

    Manage, motivate, train, and evaluate a team of sales representatives.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, including contractors, architects, distributors, and other influencers.
  • Market Analysis:

    Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Cycle Management:

    Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and product presentations to closing deals.
  • Performance Monitoring:

    Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare detailed reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Budget Management:

    Manage the sales budget and control expenses.
  • Business Development:

    Identify and appoint new channel partners and accounts to expand the customer base and market share.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales within the building materials industry (e.g., paints, tiles, sanitaryware, laminates).
  • Strong understanding of the building materials market and construction industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and manage territories.
  • Often a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required.
