Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Script Analysis & Planning:

Read and break down scripts to identify music needs.
Understand the sonicscape, recommend talent, and assist in budgeting for music.

Coordination & Communication:

Liaise with production companies and Music Supervisors for personnel hiring and project alignment.
Facilitate introductions between production teams and music personnel, ensuring scripts and cuts are shared.
Maintain consistent communication with Music Supervisors, Netflix Music Legal, and Post-Production teams.
Attend regular check-ins and show-specific meetings, taking relevant notes and providing updates.

Project & Workflow Management:

Onboard partners, Music Supervisors, and Composers with tools and workflows.
Review cuts and flag unresolved music needs or clearance issues.
Review and manage music deliverables to ensure alignment with project timelines.
Create and maintain workflows, tools, and processes to streamline music production.

Problem-Solving & Adaptability:

Work proactively and independently on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Exercise good judgment and initiative in decision-making.
Quickly adapt to new tools with minimal guidance.
Respond positively to feedback and suggestions while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Experience:

1+ year of experience in Film or Television Music production.
Prior experience in music production, music engineering/editing, composing, or music supervision.
Knowledge of the music industry, digital streaming platforms, music publishing, music licensing, record labels, and PROs is a plus.
Highly organized with strong analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication.
Comfortable prioritizing, pivoting, and working practically under pressure.
Proficiency in Google Workspace.
