About the Role

Shivaneel Hospitality is looking for a skilled Indian Cook for our hotels in Pushkar who can prepare fresh, homely and flavourful Indian meals for our guests. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with both everyday home-style food and simple festive/special dishes, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and consistency.​

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes (North Indian veg/non-veg, basic snacks, breakfast items, etc.) for buffet and à la carte service.​
• Ensure food is cooked fresh, with consistent taste, portion and presentation as per brand standards.​
• Plan daily menus in coordination with the property manager based on occupancy and guest preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, utensils, and equipment at all times, following FSSAI/food safety norms.​
• Manage mise-en-place (cutting, chopping, marination, prep) so meals are served on time during breakfast, lunch, high-tea and dinner service.
• Monitor stock of raw materials, vegetables, spices, and dry goods; inform management in advance for purchases.​
• Minimize wastage and ensure proper storage and labelling of food items.
• Coordinate with service staff and caretakers to handle special requests, dietary preferences, and group requirements.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an Indian Cook / Commis in a hotel, resort, homestay, cloud kitchen, or restaurant (Pushkar / Rajasthan experience preferred but not mandatory).​
• Strong knowledge of Indian home-style cooking, basic gravies, tandoor or tawa items, breads, snacks, and simple desserts.
• Ability to cook for small families as well as groups while maintaining taste and quality.
• Understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleanliness practices.​
• Reliability, discipline, and willingness to stay on property (if required).
• Basic communication skills (Hindi required; simple English is a plus).
