As a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Contract O&M Services in Copper and Zinc Smelter Operations, you will be responsible for leading and scaling the operations across multiple sites. Your primary focus will be to instill a high-performance culture emphasizing professionalism, discipline, and technical excellence. Collaborating with internal teams and client organizations, you will drive superior operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure world-class smelting operations. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end O&M operations at various smelter sites, ensuring process integrity, equipment reliability, and strategic goal achievement through defined metrics. You will standardize SOPs, safety protocols, and reporting systems while aligning area metrics with overall plant objectives to meet production targets. Additionally, building a performance-driven culture with clear accountability and operational discipline will be crucial. To excel in this role, you should hold a degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Mineral Processing and have a deep understanding of O&M elements such as Raw Material Handling, Roaster, Waste Heat Recovery Boiler, Hot Gas Precipitator, Acid Loading Plant, among others. Your leadership experience in multi-site O&M contract operations or large-scale metallurgical plant environments will be essential. Proficiency in Asset Optimization modules like Preventive Maintenance, Condition Based Monitoring, Root Cause Analysis, and a strong grasp of operational KPIs, HSE compliance, metallurgical processes, and continuous improvement tools are also required.
