Controls Engineer

As a Controls Engineer at CONVERGIX Automation Solutions in Chennai, India, you will play a crucial role in the development of machine software solutions for special purpose automated machinery projects. By delivering control and safety systems that adhere to national and international standards, you will support the sales team in generating quotations for new projects. Your responsibilities will include designing electrical and software elements based on customer requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and commissioning machines both on-site and at the customer's location. Additionally, you will be involved in producing project documentation, reporting project progress, and training customer employees in equipment usage and maintenance. To excel in this role, you should have at least 7 years of experience and a degree in BE, EEE, or ECE. Proficiency with Siemens Allen-Bradley PLCs and TIA Portal, as well as a track record of successfully delivering machine control system projects, are essential qualifications. Experience with EPLAN, automation and production machinery design, and knowledge of relevant British and international standards are advantageous. Your ability to travel nationally and internationally, interpret technical drawings, and work with Rockwell programming platforms will be valuable assets in this position.
