Controls Engineer

As an experienced New Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of new products from concept to commercialization. Your role will involve creating functional specifications, detailed design, and field testing for the next generation surface and downhole equipment control solutions under minimal supervision. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare detailed design proposals and engineering cost estimates for existing product and technology development. - Conduct design analysis using mathematical and engineering equations to ensure safe performance of products. - Attend design reviews and sales meetings for new and existing products as needed. - Implement modifications, diagnose, and resolve issues in control systems to meet customer requirements. - Lead engineering projects and conduct evaluations and design reviews for new products. - Represent the company locally and internationally, interacting with clients and vendors for potential new product developments. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 3-7+ years of related experience. - Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control System Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering. - Design and programming experience with PLC control systems for hazardous areas on onshore and offshore rigs. - Experience with PLC module selection, specifically Siemens SIMATIC S7-300 and S7-1500 family of modules. - Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal and writing code in Ladder, SCL, FBD, and Graph. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience in the oil and gas industry. - Siemens Certified Programmer in TIA Portal. - Siemens Certified Automation Engineer for SIMATIC Safety. - Proficiency in Creo and Windchill.
