Job Description

Summary:

Ideal candidate shall have 5 to 9 years of experience in designing electrical and control system, performing calculations, selecting components and creating detailed drawings
Highly proficient in software like AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN (proficiency in at least one of the software is mandatory)

Key Responsibilities:

Creating electrical schematics, panel layouts and wiring diagrams
Selecting appropriate electrical components, including switchgear, actuators, and automation components, based on application requirements.
Performing electrical engineering calculations such as load calculations, voltage drop, conduit fill, and cable tray sizing.
Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including BOMs, test reports, and design specifications.
Create, manage, and update project-specific CAD libraries (symbols, macros, part numbers, templates, etc.)
Interpret and implement client-specific electrical design standards and ensure adherence throughout the design process.
Knowledge of control panel fabrication standards (UL508A, IEC, etc.).
Perform review, mark-up/redlining, and updates of existing electrical/control design drawings.
Solid understanding of industrial automation control systems (PLC, sensors, MCCs, etc.).
Experience in industrial automation, automotive, or process control projects.
Knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP/IP and other standard protocols.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex electrical and control system issues.
Ability to manage and execute engineering projects effectively.
