Contracts Specialist

As a Contracts Specialist at Uber, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and negotiating vendor and technology contracts end-to-end. Your deep experience in contracts, strong analytical capability, and ability to drive strategic improvements will be crucial for this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review, analyze, and redline vendor contracts - Interpret clauses, assess risks, and ensure compliance with Uber standards - Negotiate commercial & legal terms, propose business-friendly alternatives - Track contract values, pricing, and financial metrics - Maintain contract data for reporting & insights - Conduct cost-benefit analysis, trend analysis, and identify savings - Prepare dashboards & financial reports for stakeholders - Identify improvements in vendor and contract operations - Support transitions such as T&M MSP, vendor consolidation, cost optimization - Drive continuous improvements in contract processes - Work with Legal, Procurement, Finance & Business teams - Act as the subject-matter expert for all contract-related queries **Qualifications:** - 3-5 years of experience in contract management, vendor negotiation, or contract operations - Prior experience in the contracts ecosystem is mandatory - Strong knowledge of contractual terms and redlining - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; SQL/data-viz tools preferred - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment **Preferred:** - Experience with IT/SaaS/professional services vendor contracts - Exposure to transitioning models (T&M MSP) In this role as a Direct Contractor with Uber based in Bangalore, India, you will receive a competitive compensation of 60,000-80,000 per month as per Uber contractor engagement policies.
