Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Contracts Specialist with a Civil Engineering background to manage and oversee contract administration for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction methodologies, legal frameworks, and project lifecycle management, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and successful contract execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Drafting & Review:
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts including EPC, subcontractor, supplier, and consultancy agreements.
  • Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and project specifications.
  • Risk & Compliance Management:
  • Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements in construction contracts.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and legal teams to align contract terms with project goals.
  • Monitor contract performance and support resolution of disputes or claims.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of contract documents, amendments, and correspondence.
  • Generate reports on contract status, compliance, and financial implications.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure clarity and mutual understanding of contract terms.
  • Support pre- and post-award contract activities.
  • Ensuring contractual deliverables are in place
  • Tracking contractual deliverables and making sure the validity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (Masters or MBA is a plus).
  • 10+ years of experience in contract administration & management within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • 5+ years of Contract administration experience in USA construction projects is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of AIA, FIDIC, EPC, and other standard contract forms.

  • Proficiency in contract laws, construction codes, and project documentation.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of cost estimation, change orders, and claims management.
