Job Description

Contracts Lead

The Contracts Lead will be responsible for managing all contract-related and commercial aspects of the project. This includes reviewing contractor claims, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, monitoring variations, and guiding the client on commercial decisions. Lead all contract administration activities for the project.
Review contract documents, BOQs, specifications, and commercial conditions.
Examine contractor bills, claims, and variations for correctness, entitlement, and compliance.
Evaluate the cost and time impact of variations or scope changes.
Prepare and maintain variation orders, commercial logs, and contract registers.
Ensure all works executed align with contractual terms and payment conditions.
Coordinate with the client, consultants, and contractor teams on commercial issues.
Provide recommendations on acceptance, negotiation, or rejection of claims and variations.
Support the client during commercial negotiations and settlement discussions.
Monitor contractual notices, timelines, and obligations to avoid disputes.
Review procurement needs, tender recommendations (where applicable), and commercial risks.
Prepare commercial MIS reports, dashboards, and summaries for client review.
