Job Description

Job Title: Continental Cook (Commis I / Commis III)

Location: Kakkanad, Ernakulam

Company: Cotolore Enterprises – Kealthy Kitchen Division

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Experience:

  • Commis I: 2+ years in continental cuisine
  • Commis III: 6 months to 1 year (entry-level)

Role Overview:

Join Kealthy’s health-first kitchen team and bring global flavors to local plates! We are looking for passionate continental cooks at Commis I and Commis III levels who are keen to work in a fast-paced, hygienic, and innovative cloud kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Commis I (Senior Line Cook):

  • Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes (pasta, grilled proteins, sauces, sautéed vegetables, etc.)
  • Execute food plating and presentation to high standards
  • Manage kitchen section independently during service
  • Guide and train junior commis staff (Commis II / III)
  • Ensure mise en place is ready before each service
  • Maintain quality, hygiene, and portion control
  • Report directly to Sous Chef / Head Chef

Commis III (Junior Cook / Helper):

  • Assist in ingredient preparation (chopping, marinating, basic sauces)
  • Support Commis I & II during service
  • Keep kitchen area clean and sanitized
  • Learn and follow SOPs for continental items
  • Help with plating under guidance
  • Maintain personal hygiene and clean uniforms daily

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Commis I

Commis III

Proficient in continental cuisine

Basic cooking knowledge

Strong knife and sauté skills

Willingness to learn

Experience with grills, pasta, sauces

Can follow prep instructions

Able to work under pressure

Team player, quick learner

Understanding of food safety norms

Basic hygiene awareness
