Job Description

About the role:

  • Develop engaging long-form content such as blogs, website articles, thought leadership pieces, and case studies.
  • Write persuasive copy for brochures, ads, campaigns, product descriptions, and CTAs.
  • Ensure all writing reflects the brand's voice, tone, and positioning.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to create impactful visuals + copy combinations.
  • Research industry trends to produce relevant and valuable content for our audience.
  • Ability to actively switch between content writing (blogs, articles, long-form storytelling) and copywriting (ads, CTAs, brochures, and short persuasive messaging) depending on project needs.
  • Engage with followers, reply to comments and DMs, and build an active community.
  • Monitor social media trends and suggest creative campaign ideas.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies aligned with brand objectives.
  • Generate innovative campaign ideas to enhance brand engagement and conversions.
  • Analyze performance metrics and optimize content for better results.
  • Regularly update and optimize Google My Business (GMB) listings for better local visibility.
  • SEO & Performance Awareness: Integrate keywords naturally into writing, structure content for discoverability, and align deliverables with digital marketing strategies.
  • Edit, proofread, and refine drafts to maintain clarity and consistency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in

    English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or related field

  • Candidates without formal degrees but with a strong portfolio of published content are also valuable.
  • Excellent command of language (grammar, vocabulary, and flow).
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, hashtags, and social media algorithms.
  • Familiarity with Google My Business, analytics tools, and social listening platforms.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute creatively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of tools used for keyword research and SEO Insights.
  • Tracking performance and optimization.
  • Adaptability - can switch tone (professional, creative, casual, luxury-focused) depending on the audience.

  • Strong research skills - the ability to gather information and turn it into engaging content.
  • Content structuring - ability to organize writing into clear, logical formats (headings, bullet points, storytelling arcs).
  • Awareness of different content formats (blogs, whitepapers, case studies, newsletters, captions, scripts).

Nice to have:

  • Experience in design tools like Canva or Photoshop for creating social media visuals.
  • Marketing Psychology - Knowledge of persuasion frameworks (AIDA, PAS, storytelling techniques).
  • Basic HTML / Markdown - For formatting content in CMS or emails.
