Job Description

Position Summary

The Content Strategist at Smileguard oversees the planning, development, and optimization of content across all channels. You will define content goals, design audience-focused strategies, and guide the creation of high-impact materials that strengthen brand awareness, customer trust, and product engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive content strategy aligned with brand, marketing, and product goals
  • Lead content planning across channels (website, blog, social media, email, packaging, video, ads)
  • Conduct audience research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and content preferences
  • Create strategic briefs, messaging frameworks, and content guidelines
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, product teams, and external partners to execute content initiatives
  • Optimize content for SEO, discoverability, and user engagement
  • Analyze content performance and provide data-driven recommendations
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and storytelling throughout all touchpoints
  • Identify content gaps, opportunities, and new formats to elevate the brand
  • Maintain the editorial calendar and coordinate cross-team workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or editorial roles
  • Proven ability to plan and execute multi-channel content campaigns
  • Strong understanding of SEO, user experience, and digital content best practices
  • Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic recommendations
  • Experience working cross-functionally with creative, product, and marketing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in consumer products, health/wellness, dental care, or e-commerce
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools (GA4, Semrush, etc.)
  • Knowledge of UX writing, journey mapping, and content architecture
  • Understanding of regulated or medical-adjacent content (if applicable)
