Project Brief
Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is supporting implementation of capacity strengthening activities at select nursing and health professional education institutions in Guwahati and the north-east region through the PEP-partnership Hub housed at PHFI. The consultant will be hired by PHFI to support the project activities for the PEP-Partnership Hub in the North-east region.
Deliverables
The role involves supporting project implementation through weekly coordination with the Supervisor and Project team at the nursing college, facilitating documentation, and providing fortnightly updates to the PEP India Partnership Hub. It also includes managing stakeholder relationships in Northeastern India by engaging with state level health education stakeholders to align with national and state priorities, fostering knowledge sharing, and facilitating joint activities under the guidance of the PEP Partnership Hub team. The major duties and responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate weekly with the Assam-based project partner (Regional College of Nursing, Guwahati)
- Support the PEP Team in managing NER India stakeholder relationships
- Prepare quarterly progress reports for the PEP-Partnership Hub at PHFI.
- Assist the teams with logistical planning and coordination for project-related events and workshops.
- Liaise with key stakeholders in the health education ecosystem in Assam and the broader North-Eastern Region.
- Facilitate and participate in regular knowledge-sharing sessions and ideation meetings with government agencies, regulators, and academic institutions.
- Facilitate, coordinate and support partners in gender sensitivity and capacity building workshops
- Travel as required.
- Any other task as assigned by Project PI.
Education
Essential:
- Any health sciences related background with Post-graduate diploma in health management/ health administration/Master in Public Health
Experience
Essential:
- 2-3 Years of Experience working with government agencies, academic institutions, or international development organizations.
- Required Good coordination, Communication, Team Player, Stakeholder Management, Government liaison.
- Knowledge of Project management and Nursing education reforms
