Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and detail-oriented Consultant Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate diagnostic interpretations, validating test results, maintaining quality control, and supporting clinical decisions through pathology insights.

Key Responsibilities

Review and validate reports of various pathology tests including Clinical Pathology, Hematology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Histopathology, and Cytopathology.
Correlate clinical information with laboratory findings to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
Supervise laboratory technicians and ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and NABL guidelines.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for lab processes and diagnostic accuracy.
Participate in case discussions with clinicians and contribute to patient care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting of results.
Ensure internal and external quality control compliance.
Support training and mentoring of junior pathologists and lab staff.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: MD in Pathology
Experience: Minimum 2–5 years
Strong knowledge of diagnostic techniques and laboratory instrumentation
Familiarity with NABL/ISO standards and internal quality assurance protocols
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills
