Consultant Gynaecologist

Role Summary

The Consultant Gynecologist provides specialized medical services related to women’s reproductive health, including diagnosis, treatment, surgical interventions, antenatal and postnatal care. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, emergency coverage, and participation in teaching and quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care in Obstetrics and Gynecology, including:
• Routine antenatal and postnatal care
• High-risk pregnancy management
• Gynecological consultations and follow-up
• Family planning and contraceptive services
• Gynecological oncology screening and management
• Perform and supervise gynecological surgeries, e.g.:
• Hysterectomy
• Laparoscopy
• Cystectomy
• Myomectomy
• Cesarean sections
• Evaluate patients in outpatient clinics and hospital wards
• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging relevant to the specialty
• Provide emergency care for obstetric and gynecological emergencies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records in line with hospital policies
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, and continuous quality improvement
• Contribute to training and mentoring of junior doctors, nurses, and medical students
• Stay updated on advancements in gynecology and obstetrics
• Uphold ethical medical practice and patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications and Experience

• MBBS/MD degree or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (MD/MS/DNB/FRCOG/MRCOG or equivalent)
• Valid medical license to practice in [Country/State]
• Minimum [X] years of post-qualification experience as a Specialist/Consultant
• Skilled in both surgical and non-surgical gynecological procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹120,000.00 per month
