Consultant Gynaecologist

Summary:
The Consultant Gynaecologist is responsible for providing comprehensive women’s health services, including OPD consultations, diagnostic evaluations, antenatal care, gynaecological procedures, and surgical interventions. The role ensures high-quality patient care, adherence to clinical standards, and active participation in hospital protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct OPD consultations, diagnose gynaecological conditions, and provide appropriate treatment plans.
• Manage antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care for pregnant women.
• Perform gynaecological surgeries including LSCS, hysterectomy, D&C, laparoscopic procedures, and other related surgeries as applicable.
• Handle emergency cases such as ectopic pregnancy, PPH, miscarriages, and related complications.
• Perform routine gynaecological examinations and preventive screenings.
• Maintain accurate patient records as per hospital and NABH guidelines.
• Coordinate with nursing, radiology, anaesthesia, and other departments for seamless patient care.
• Provide counselling to patients and families regarding treatment options and outcomes.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality initiatives, and departmental meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all medical protocols, safety measures, and ethical practices.

Qualifications Required:

• MBBS + MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Valid medical registration.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience post-MD/MS is preferred (adjust as per hospital need).
• Experience in handling both OPD and emergency gynaecology cases.

Skills Needed:

• Strong clinical and surgical skills in gynaecology and obstetrics.
• Good patient counselling and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle emergencies and critical decision-making.
• Team collaboration with a patient-centric approach.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols and NABH standards is an advantage.

Pay: ₹58,216.11 - ₹250,000.00 per month
