Role Overview
We are looking for an accomplished and compassionate Endocrinologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team. This role is ideal for a DM-qualified specialist with a deep commitment to managing endocrine and metabolic disorders through evidence-based care and holistic treatment planning.
You will serve as a clinical expert for a range of hormonal imbalances, working closely with primary care and specialty teams to deliver integrated care. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient well-being in a supportive and technologically advanced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Treatment
Diagnose and manage endocrine conditions including diabetes mellitus, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal and pituitary disorders, metabolic bone disease, obesity, PCOS, and other hormonal imbalances.
Order and interpret relevant laboratory investigations such as hormone panels, glucose tolerance tests, and DEXA scans.
Develop and execute personalized treatment plans combining pharmacotherapy, lifestyle interventions, and coordinated specialty care.
Collaborative Care
Work in coordination with other specialists including cardiologists, nephrologists, gynecologists, and surgeons for complex or comorbid patient cases.
Participate in inpatient consults for hospitalized patients requiring endocrine expertise.
Patient Education & Follow-up
Counsel patients and caregivers on chronic disease management, medication adherence, and preventive care strategies.
Monitor treatment outcomes and modify care plans based on clinical response and follow-up diagnostics.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records using hospital EMR systems.
Adhere to ethical, medical, and legal documentation standards.
Academic & Professional Development
Engage in departmental academic rounds, journal clubs, and case discussions.
Attend relevant CME programs, conferences, and workshops to stay current with advancements in endocrinology.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Certification
DM/DNB in Endocrinology from a recognized medical institution (mandatory).
Valid medical registration/license to practice in [Insert State/Country].
Experience
2 to 10 years of post-specialization clinical experience in endocrinology practice.
Skills & Competencies
Sound diagnostic acumen and decision-making in endocrine care.
Proficiency in interpreting endocrine lab results and imaging.
Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a hospital or clinical team environment.
Familiarity with digital tools like EMRs, e-prescriptions, and hospital management software.
Preferred Profile
Experience across both outpatient and inpatient endocrinology settings.
Research interest or participation in endocrine clinical studies.
Prior exposure to managing patients in tertiary care, multispecialty, or academic institutions.
