Consultant - Critical Care

Aster Medcity is looking for Consultant - Critical Care to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Specialist to join our medical team. The Critical Care Specialist, also known as an Intensivist, will provide specialized care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) or other critical care settings. They will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the comprehensive care of patients with life - threatening conditions. Responsibilities : Provide direct patient care to critically ill individuals in the ICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex medical conditions. Manage and oversee the multidisciplinary care team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care. Monitor and interpret vital signs, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests to evaluate patient status and make informed treatment decisions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, medical history, and response to therapy. Perform procedures commonly used in critical care, such as intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube insertion. Administer and titrate medications, including vasoactive agents, sedatives, analgesics, and antimicrobial agents, as appropriate for patient care. Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and provide immediate interventions, including resuscitation and life - saving procedures. Communicate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis.
