Job Description

Position: Computing Teacher (Grades 1–10)

We are looking for a Computing Teacher who can confidently teach digital skills, coding basics, and responsible technology use across primary and lower secondary levels. The role requires someone who can simplify concepts for younger learners and gradually build towards structured programming, digital literacy, and problem-solving for older students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Computing/ICT from Grades 1–10 with clear progression.
  • Introduce students to tools such as Scratch, App Inventor, Python, and basic web design.
  • Build strong foundations in digital literacy, typing skills, online safety, and research skills.
  • Use hands-on activities, simple projects, and age-aligned assignments to build confidence.
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate grade records.
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate technology into classroom work.
  • Support school events, exhibitions, coding clubs, and ICT-related activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science/IT or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification preferred.
  • Prior experience in Cambridge or international schools is an advantage.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to make Computing practical, engaging, and accessible for all age groups.
