We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proficient Computer Operator to join our AI Course Builder team. This role is central to the efficient development and deployment of our educational content. The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing and managing various software tools and platforms, with a crucial focus on interacting with AI models, primarily through advanced prompt engineering. This position is perfect for someone who excels at routine, meticulous tasks and has a passion for the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence and education.
Key Responsibilities1. Prompt Engineering and AI Interaction (Core)
- Prompt Execution: Accurately input, modify, and execute a high volume of structured prompts and instructions into various Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI systems to produce course material drafts, quizzes, summaries, and examples.
- Result Verification: Systematically review and compare the AI-generated outputs against the input prompts and defined criteria to ensure adherence to instructional and technical specifications.
- Prompt Optimization Support: Assist in iterating and refining prompt structures based on feedback from Course Designers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to improve the quality, consistency, and relevance of the AI-generated content.
2. Data Handling and System Operations
- Data Migration: Manage the transfer of completed or partially completed course content files (text, code snippets, metadata) between different software environments (e.g., AI output, internal staging, Learning Management System (LMS)).
- System Monitoring: Monitor the operational status and efficiency of the AI tools and course-building platforms, reporting any anomalies, errors, or slowdowns to the technical team immediately.
- File Management: Maintain a highly organized digital filing system for all prompts, AI outputs, revisions, and final content assets, ensuring proper version control and easy retrieval.
3. Quality Assurance and Documentation
- Basic QA: Perform initial checks for formatting consistency, broken links, and adherence to standard naming conventions across all digital assets before they proceed to the next stage of review.
- Operational Logging: Maintain detailed, accurate logs of all tasks performed, including prompt run times, outputs generated, system errors encountered, and task completion metrics.
- Process Adherence: Follow strictly documented procedures and protocols for interacting with proprietary AI tools and course construction methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Data Entry, or a related technical field is a plus.
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience in a computer operations, technical support, or similar role requiring high attention to detail and repetitive task execution.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expert-level knowledge of file organization, cloud storage systems, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Proven ability to quickly learn and operate new software and proprietary platforms.
- AI Understanding: A basic conceptual understanding of what Prompt Engineering is and how it influences AI output is essential. Familiarity with interacting with LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) in a structured manner is highly desirable.
