About the Role:

proactive and research-oriented Legal & Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with industrial regulations, labour laws, environmental standards, and factory-related legislation relevant to defence manufacturing.
• Support legal processes related to factory establishment, land use, and operational licensing.
• Handle intellectual property matters including trademarks, copyrights, and patents — from registration to monitoring and renewal.
• Draft, review, and maintain contracts, vendor agreements, and NDAs.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, government bodies, and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Develop and implement internal compliance frameworks, policies, and documentation standards.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and proactively advise management on their impact.
• Conduct legal research on emerging policies, defence regulations, and manufacturing standards to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Support leadership in audits, certifications, and due diligence activities.
• Take initiative in setting up processes that improve compliance tracking, document control, and reporting systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal compliance, corporate law, or regulatory affairs.
• Strong understanding of corporate, labour, and data protection laws.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with compliance management systems is a plus.
